Humor to lighten up your day. 1. If you share a printer in the office, then you know that many people print out stuff and then just leave it on or around the printer. Today, like other days, I retrieved my printed documents off the shared printer and noticed a pile of abandoned printouts. The topic "Good housekeeping for the office", including a directive to pick up your stuff from the printer. Ironic. 2. Included in "Good housekeeping for the office" printout is a directive to be conscious of other people's allergies. In the modern cube farm, you are directed to no wear fragrances or scents that could bother others. Hmm!! Thinking back to my days in the South African Army I encountered a strange phenomena. After a two week military exercise, when the platoon gathered in a closed space, there was an odor in the room. The odor was not present before soldiers filed into the room. Hmm!! Perhaps the fact that no showers or rivers available were during the exercise had something to do with it. I notice a similar odor after a boy scout camping trip, but can't quite put my finger on it. Must be my allergies to fragrances.
