In case you are wondering what's on my mind today:
1. Growth is uncomfortable at best, painful at worst. We are stronger and better, more seasoned and better able to contribute to fellow beings after a growth experience but it would be nicer if we didn't have to go through it.
2. Your natural inclination, when you jump to a conclusion in conversation and thought, it is your own conclusion. It might not be reality and it might not be the intention other people are trying to convey to you. You need to work on lowering your filters to understand the message. (It is hard, and takes practise to become aware of your filters and lower them to increase your comprehension.)
3. What changes until you get angry? Really, hopping mad? Most of us prefer the status quo - "don't bother me with issues while I go on with my life". The issues in the South Windsor Public School system are "not my problem" until they come up in your family/household? Are you willing to make changes and completely support justice if you are not emotional about home invasions? We are more willing to take action to avoid pain than obtain pleasure. Take note today of what topics and situations motivate you enough to make it a priority action. This could be a key to future success for you.
4. More and more, I realize that hand crafted beer is an artists's expression of the brewer. Bad people can't make good beer. I have also learned to never make beer when I am angry or rushed. The resulting creation is a testament to the brewer's intention and skill. Perhaps it is both - an artistic brewer with high standards of integrity will continue honing his or her skill until they hang up their brewing apron.
5. We are all constrained by our bodies and education. Although we "know" things, we can't always express it correctly, and even less can we communicate our "knowings" to others. Similarly, others can't express things correctly and even less communicate their thoughs and feelings effectively to us. Our training in Relationship Awareness Theory helps to reduce conflict and improve relationships. In my journeys around the world, the one thing that holds true more than others is "A man's actions speak louder than his words".
6. All that is necessary for evil to triumph in our public schools are for good men and women to do nothing.
7. As my Oupa said "Life is a great game." Play your game today.
