The South Windsor Rotary club auction for 2012 is underway. I am a proud member of this club.
We host the auction every two years and the proceeds fund a lengthy list of good causes in South Windsor and surrounding areas. Scholarships, purchasing equipment and supporting costs for our volunteer fire department, events to help families with special needs children are just some of the many benefits that residents of South Windsor get from this auction.

So, where does the win/win/win come in? What makes this different from just another solicitation?
1. The money goes back into South Windsor. This money doesn't go to feed yet another hungry country in darkest Africa.
2. I am not giving tax advice here - your donations are usually tax deductable.
3. Your soul feels good, because your donations support worthy causes.
4. If you choose to join my wife and I at the auction dinner, you have the opportunity to bid on valuable items and save yourself money on the retail price of donated items.
All round, this is a win/win/win.
Of course, I am posting this here, to give friends, colleagues, business partners the opportunity to donate something towards this auction.
